After all, what else could the topic have been after April 12? Could one reflect on an experience of greater intensity? Neurologically, systemically, at all? A country is airing out its past, trying to articulate the last 16 years—and the euphoria, the frustration, the grievances, and the fears are posted before us on surfaces of 504 x 238 cm. And there is a work that perfectly sums up this basic situation: Orbán at the psychologist, as it evokes his childhood father-son relationship, in a green-and-white wallpapered room, while the psychologist notes with a student-loan pen (!) — but we’ve seen this note-taking before, not from anyone else but Orbán himself, so now please figure out who the psychologist is... ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bc/dc/bcdc50a4-7d47-4779-a7df-239e7ed7a2f9/content/images/2026/09/6740c28cdb61ec24d7345bf06c4bec12.webp) Istvánfy Réka: At the psychologist Most of the posters respond to politics, but the theme of climate change (dried Balaton) and the generational gap also appear, and of course the AI problem stings, understandable. I admit, none of the works bestowed a big “wow” moment; perhaps with the painting titled *About My Life* I linger a little longer, I would say: I liked it, because it had a spark (bisociation) – but this is mainly due to Örkény, not to arbitrariness or execution. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bc/dc/bcdc50a4-7d47-4779-a7df-239e7ed7a2f9/content/images/2026/09/983de1f51124248b852ef430bd2bb4ff.webp) Halász Géza: About My Life There are witty ideas, there are moods and flashes, but I still feel a certain lack, because for the most part this exhibition is like a giant meme collection; jokes flicked in the online space, scribbled seed ideas, half-sentences of association on a worn-out half-sentence—a surface that chatters, a depth that listens. In a long-standing poster country, I would seek worthy successors of the genre in Hungary’s Bortnyik Sándor, Berény Róbert, Pócs Péter, Orosz István and many other classics. Instead of self-serving self-expression, a refined communication of thought. If instead of “system change,” only the “nerve” remains for us. To paraphrase a dependable creator, Örkény: > *Is there any power that could make ARC posters more striking? Yes? No? Yes?
